Problem / Solution: Our customer needed to use a COTS LCD in a high brightness application that demanded a ruggedized LCD display. Thomas was able to purchase a commercial grade LCD from Sharp. We laminated an anti-reflective coated panel to the front of the LCD and added a rear surface heater element for cold temperature operation. Lastly, we mount the ruggedized assembly into a frame for easy mounting.
