Cockpit Simulation: Projection Displays & Head-Mounts
Thomas supports a variety of simulation systems with projection CRT's and deflection components for scene and target imaging. Head mounted assemblies and night vision sights also replicate real world systems. With an extensive inventory of actual flight display designs, we can quickly simulate most commercial and military cockpit instruments. The products described below are some typical examples. We welcome your specification for matching to our current design inventory, or for our fast development and sampling.
NVG Training: LCD & CRT Displays
Thomas Cathode Ray Tube assemblies are used in NVG training applications. We can match the exact display color and
display resolution as found in an NVG image intensifier tube. By providing the same image quality, end users can create realistic
training scenarios. Our CRTs are all designed for reduced weight. We can supply various connector packages for quick disconnect
and field servicing.
Platform Replication: CRT & LCD Backlights
Simulation and training applications are a growing segment of our product line. Our solutions include Cathode Ray
Tubes and backlights for LCD. The user must replicate the existing platform in a training environment. Thomas can offer a similar
CRT or backlight, if not the actual CRT used in the original platform, for the same look and feel as the real platform. This duplication
minimizes electronic and mechanical modification to existing hardware.
Projection CRT Displays
Thomas Projection applications include Cathode Ray Tube Assemblies and electromagnetic components. The CRTs are
all high brightness and high resolution CRTs in a variety of colors to match your end use and optics. They can incorporate cooling
cells and "C" elements into the design. Our CRTs can have aligned magnetic focus coils and deflection coils and can be refurbished.
Thomas also offers refurbishment services for CRTs in cases where Thomas is not the OEM. Refurbishing existing designs can offer
substantial cost savings.
